I hope everyone is keeping well, wherever you are located. Still no significant downturn in deaths here in the UK, although things appear to be levelling out.
I had a look at the results of the survey of ST holders on their intentions for NPL. Hopefully I won’t be boring you with my thoughts, but here goes anyway:
Almost 1200 responses, which I…[Read more]

I’m reading that Foxtel is witholding many millions from the FFA for the A-league contract. I have never bothered with the A-league, it is so Sydney and Melbourne-centric and has made little effort to appeal to the regions. The FFA does not understand that in the regions no-one talks or pays attention to anything to do with it. I hear 50 times…[Read more]

This is from Ken Newman in Perth, WA
Here in Western Australia we’ve not had a new covid infection for four days, but the powers that be are talking of the lifting of SOME sanctions in four weeks ie mid May. When large crowds are allowed for sporting events is probably a further six weeks away –about the start of July. Very sadly it looks lik…[Read more]

Hi everyone :
I’m in Melbourne staying with my son Tomas and his partner in Richmond right next to Yarra Park and the MCG. I kinda got caught here by the speed of the CV spread and travel restrictions and opted to stay here in Aus due to health and personal reasons. Certainly so far I think it has been the correct choice. I’m not sure when I…[Read more] -

Feeling a bit whimsical ..
What’s the odds of ANY of these player predictions coming off during the summer/offseason (whenever that might be…)?
Five players Glyn Hodges could sign for AFC Wimbledon this summer

Hi Rob, hi everyone.
Hope all Dons fans are keeping safe and well.
Today is Easter Sunday. On Friday we should have been playing Sunderland at home. I had planned to be there as part of my annual spring trip to the UK. My biggest problem a few months ago was getting a ticket for the game as it would surely have been a full house.
Now the football…[Read more] -

Found it a really useful update by Joe Palmer as it communicated the planned stadium completion date, although that may not be the date from which games can take place, and also that in advanced discussions with a potential lender, although it didn’t also say the value of the loan under discussion.
As somebody said there isn’t any information…[Read more] -

One ray of light in the gloom? Reports of a laboratory in Oxford being 80% likely to have developed a vaccine by autumn. Just newspaper talk perhaps, but in these dark days we’ll cling on to whatever we can. Keep safe.

Yes, it is hard to see any non-essential international travel being allowed at least until October. They will need to add more routes than the current Auckland, London, LA and Hong Kong hubs, but I suppose that will only be to countries where the pandemic is under control at the time. I reckon that the first tranche of travel will only be for…[Read more]

As I write this, it’s 8am in South Carolina, US of A; a country that has finally woken up after six weeks of denial. Yet, I shall go to work today in the knowledge that many customers will decide it’s their ‘constitutional right’ to spread coronavirus to everyone, whether they want it or not. Oh well, I made my bed as they say.
On the bright side,…[Read more] -

Hello all from a rather surreal Blighty! I guess it is a little easier to avoid other people outside of the big cities in Oz, but we are a small island and self isolation/social distancing are not coming easy over here. We have the normal idiots and f*ckwits who see it as a joke, and I feel that the road back normality is going to be a long and…[Read more]

A quick update during our splendid isolation.
Joe Palmer has put out a statement which in part stated the following points of interest:

Construction work has been progressing, following government guidance relating to the wider importance of continuing construction works, if done in accordance with the social distancing…[Read more] -

There are no handshakes allowed, but we still have an utterly pointless sponsors photo opportunity as the teams walk past each other. I loved Ramsdale’s cheeky grin and nod last weekend. What follows is 22 players getting up close and personal in a fashion that would give our government’s Chief Medical Office a heart attack.
Elsewhere my firm has…[Read more]

Although I expected a disappointing result, even I was shocked at the toothlessness of our attacking play. As well as a strike force lacking any real pace or skill, we are hampered by a midfield without any creativity. In Hartigan, Reilly and Wagstaff we have a central trio without the ability to spot a killer pass. Thus, we get the normal…[Read more]
