Rarely have two trialists been signed so quickly by Wimbledon. Have a look through the team lineup for the recent PSF against Leatherhead and your eyes fall on trialist, (trialist)
Within days of that 2-1 victory over Leatherhead both trialists (Ethan Chislett the other) were signed by the club.AFC Wimbledon: Nik Tzanev (Matthew Cox), Luke…[Read more]

Yet another positive recruitment with the confirmation of towering striker Ollie Palmer signing on a free transfer from League Two Crawley Town. At 6″5, Palmer is looked on as the “target man” option AFC Wimbledon have been lacking since James Hanson and Tom Elliott. Wimbledon have made a significant signing with confirmation of terms agreed with combative midfielder Alex Woodyard. He brings loads of experience to the undermanned Dons engine room – 49 L1 games with Peterborough; 90 with Lincoln City, 10 on loan with Tranmere at the end of last season and a few at Southend. Woodyard, who was not in Darren…[Read more]

Wimbledon have confirmed the key loan signing of Birmingham City goalkeeper Connal Trueman until May 23 next year. Another rumour doing the rounds is former Peterborough United midfielder Alex Woodyard to sign with Wimbledon.

A low-key and anticipated start to Glyn Hodges’ summer recruitment campaign with the signing of right-back Cheye Alexander on a free transfer from non-league Barnet. It is first of what is expected to be two or three signings over the summer with the rest supplemented by loans. Given the tight financial situation AFC Wimbledon is in over running a…[Read more]

Interesting rumours.
Alexander left Aldershot for Barnet, supposedly because he wanted to be closer to his home in Essex. Perhaps Galliard are throwing in a few apartments on the Plough Lane development for us to use to house players..! ;o)

Interesting interview with Nick Daws on the club website. He says that they are hopeful of getting a couple of players in before the start of the season, but looking at the squad we have signed up so far it is threadbare to say the least!
Eighteen players on contract, but 6 of these are 18 year olds (Matthew Cox, the keeper, is only 17 I…[Read more]

Truly a relief that the club has managed to secure a bridging loan – let’s just hope that we don’t have to draw down too much of it as the interest rate is bound to be punitive.
As this is the final piece in the ground funding jigsaw, the club now needs to shift it’s focus to the debenture issue. Glyn needs to be given a budget that will keep us…[Read more]
