To answer Mac Womble’s question, the home team keeps 100% of the gate receipt for league games. Cup games are different. There’s some sort of complicated formula where the gate receipts are shared after expenses, bungs, etc.

Lyle Taylor is not truly fit…..Discuss!

He may be a hard worker, but there is something troubling about him having to go off around the 70 minute mark in so many games. If it is just cramp, it is preventable. Maybe he needs to be educated to take on more liquids during games?

The only positive from today’s game is that we got a point. That said, it should have been three. I’ll wait to see the highlights before criticising Clarke, but it does sound like he’s made a howler, made all the worse that it was so late in the game.

Just watched the highlights of the Northampton game. How the hell did they eek out ten minutes of that game to show as highlights. If we were Premier League, that game deserved to be on last on Match of the Day.

Good question Devon Womble. My understanding is that each manager marks the official’s performance. Over time these are monitored, and persistent poor performers are ranked further down the football refereeing pyramid. Trouble is, there aren’t really enough volunteers. So we end up in the situation we have.

Decisions! Decisions! They cost us proud. Unfortunately last night’s game will be remembered by decisions by those we have little control over. The performance of the referee is what everyone will be talking about, including Scunthorpe fans, but as most of the important decisions went against us, we’ll feel most hard done by.
