Well the League One table is very pleasant viewing today. Dons up to 19th and the Franchise scum in the relegation places. I used iFollow for only the second time and it worked fine. In the first half virtually nothing happened so 0-0 reflected the game accurately. After the Dons got the breakthrough early in the second half Blackpool exerted some pressure on us but never looked like scoring. Then the second goal killed them off. Not a great game but it’s points that matter in our position. Still a lot of work to do and the midfield looked as laborious as reports all season have indicated but I am a lot more optimistic about staying up after that result. COYDs

Its a long season and hopefully we have turned the corner, with another forward fighting for a place in the starting line up,players coming back from long injuries we are scoring goals defense playing well. More teams struggling and coming into the relegation zone is good for us,I’m looking forward to this part of the season with optimism onwards and upwards COYDSSSSSS.

What struck me about NA’s post Bradford interview was his revelation that he had asked the team how they might deal with his assessment of how Bradford might play. Sometimes being a manager requires a two-way street. Perhaps NA has matured enough now to realise that?
Certainly the team appear to be on the up, and the performance, with only 45% possession and five attempts on target suggests that we may not yet have seen the best of our squad.
I still have reservations about our staid midfield, but if Parratt comes back to even close to his early season promise, and we get Hartigan back, perhaps working with the improving Abdou, the run in might be enjoyable enough for my nails to grow back and my anger management to win over…
Please though, no talk of promotion contention…. that’s next season’s task.

Things are certainly looking up in the camp at the moment. It is amazing what a few decent results can do for squad morale!

The transfer window is about to close with very little interest from us. NA is hoping to bring another striker in to supplement Pigott, but not a sniff of a rumour of who it might be.

A quick heads up, Rob – my article for the forthcoming newsletter on the transfer window will not be a War and Peace tome!!

Saturday is going to be tough as Rotherham are on a roll, and if the match at KM is anything to go by they will be tough and physical opponents. Personally I’d be happy if this game was called off and we could hit Bury on Tuesday fresh. Can’t see it happening, though…
