    Having just received the latest issue of Wombles Downunder (thanks Rob) my eyes fell upon the article written by Trevor Pearce. I object strongly to the opening paragraph of his article which is blatantly political and has no place in a newsletter such as ours, his opinions are so far to the left he should be whisked back to the USSR of the 1950’s. We are all angry at whats happened and I have no problem with most of the article but I never thought I would read anything of this nature in Wombles Downunder. To be honest I feel he should retract the opening paragraph and resubmit the article in a less controversial political tone.

    What about Luton ! Ten new players and thirteen friendlies from 7th July to the 5th August ! Yesterdays friendly against Watford sounded promising by all acounts, Will Nightingale is going to be a great player for us but I hope he doesn’t get injured as much as he does when playing Football Manager !

    NA and the Club need to come clean on exactly whats going on even from this far away things don’t seem to be right.
    According to the “rumours” webpage Joel Grant has now signed for Wycombe.

    I think I’ll follow Margate next season, they have just signed Christian Jolley and Jake Goodman, now they would be on a good wage one would think yet apparently Margate can afford these two playing in the Conference South. If the “rumours” are true the board have scuttled three high level signings by refusing to pay over the odds. So just where are we heading are we content just to tread water and surviving until we see what happens with the new Stadium or what. Some dangerous times ahead ? We’ll see what happens next week, if anything.

    I think signing Jon Meades is a massive gamble, broken ankle and other injury problems resulting in only 7 first team games for Oxford United in two seasons. NA says we could have a great player by the END of the season – Uh ?!
    Hope it pays off thats all.

    Lets be realistic, if we haven’t signed three decent players by the end of the month we are up s..t creek.
