    Hello all,

I’m from Sydney but I’ve only been following the Dons for a couple of years. My brother has been a fan since the events of 2002 and had been encouraging me to start following them too.

My parents met in London but we don’t have any family connections to Wimbledon – my mother’s family is from Manchester; my father’s family is from Bedfordshire and Scotland.

My brother and I grew up following MUFC as it is our mother’s team but we both lost interest in the 90s when commercialism took over. It just felt silly to invest our passion in a club which only wanted our money.

Walking into Kingsmeadow in July last year to watch the friendly with Kingstonian
felt completely different and I’m glad I found the Dons.

I hope I don’t sound like I’ve just jumped on the AFCW bandwagon, because I’m here to stay.

    Hello,

I’m a first time poster. I went to the friendly with Kingstonian last July and sat in the main stand. This was my first time at an English football match but everyone was very friendly and welcoming. The man behind the bar even sold me the copy of the program that he had put to one side for himself.

I got lost on the way to the stadium from Norbiton station as someone had turned one of the street signs around. I found the council estate where they film the Bill and eventually found a pub that could give me directions.

As far as food went, there was a caravan to one side of the stand selling hot food. I can recommend the bacon buttie with burger sauce. Burger sauce is a sort of pink version of Big Mac sauce. Very tasty.
